It seems I have take the Croatian coast in the good way : more and more beautiful !
-> Rijeka : nothing to see, apart the little village of Opatja.
-> Zadar : not bad, but too much tourists
-> Sibenik : beautiful town, interesting
-> Split : fall in love with her vestiges an alleyways
-> Dubrovnik : .... impressive
Contrary to Split, there is something o see out of the old town, even if the town has been destroyed during the war (long siege of the serbian army which failed, and pride of croatian people who have resisted, so I hear, without help and heavy weapons...) Consequence : all building, houses, and others seem to be new and the city looks like very young. The historical center has been spared by the shellings, because Serbian didn't want to loose the touristic resource. And everybody take advantage of that ! All the world. There is a lot of people !!! I'm arrived yesterday, during the rush hour : each minute passing made me pass to the last degree of agoraphobia, and I was very happy to retreat into a internet shop.
I came back this morning (Sunday, so, try to follow !). Less people (a bit), and better atmosphere : guards in traditional clothes at the gates, music bands on the place to make people dance and sing a group of spanish tourists (E viiiiva Espana !...), well, very nicer than yesterday. So, I stop to beat about the bush.
It's beautiful !
My camera is not suffiscient, I would need a movie camera. Like in Split, there is the mix of architecture influences, everything is beautiful, well conserved. But contrary to Split, the town is very well organized parallel streets, square places, and it's impossible to loose himself, but what a charm ! The stairs are plenty of plants, flowers, closed ways are clutter up by restaurant tables, monuments are siege by masses... It's a bit hard to explain what I see, but to resume, it's superbe.
