Realizing my lack of knowledge on Croatia, I have been on Internet to have a stroy playground... and I have found this :
1618-1648
30 years war. During this war, Croatian Cavalry Regiments served in the royal french arm of Louis XIII and Louis XIV. They have paticipated to the victory of Rocroy (1643) and Nördlingen (1645), under the orders of Lord Enghien. They are the source for this occasion of the new fashion in the Versaille society : the tie ! This original accessory of their uniform, which have known after that a mundial success in the occidental male fashion.
