OK, I've got the explanation : there is a lot of tourist, it's true, and the weather is beautiful, but furthermore, yesterday was a national holiday in Slovenia, and the closing day for all universities ! That's why there was so much young people in the center. Add the football match Germany-Turkia for the 1/2 final of UEFA, and everybody was in the center, where coffee shops put a lot of TV screen in the street. Hot atmosphere.
Ljubjana is realy a human-size city, contrary to Vienna : 270 000 people, more or less, a little center, but with good night lighting and beautiful, even I am not fond of Baroc style.
Did I say you why everything is Baroc in Austria and Slovenia ? It's because a long time ago (XVII century), the Ottoman army destroyed everything on her way to put Vienna under siege (Which still have her gothic cathedral because she have resisted). So after the Turkish defeat, they had to rebuild everything ... in the style of the century.
